The first Borneo Lasallian Convention was held in St. Joseph’s Secondary School, Kuching Sarawak from the 5th to the 8th of June 2016. This was an idea of Ms. Yvonne Chong (La Salle KK), Pn. Stella Biscop (St. Joseph’s), Madam Nancy (St. Martin’s) and La Salle Centre.

 

There were 4 schools present at the BLC ; La Salle KK and St. Martin’s Tambunan (Sabah) Sacred Heart Secondary School (Sarawak) and the host school St. Joseph’s Secondary School. We had a total of 60 participants with 15 organizing team members from the three schools. 

 

My sincere thanks to the principals of the schools for their continued support over the years. Our thanks to Brother John D’Cruz, the De La Salle brothers of Malaysia, Ms. Yap Hsu Yi and Mr. Matthew Lee for their contributions and subsidy towards the BLC.

 

Finally thank you to the organising team of BLC, you made the first BLC a SUCCESS! Till we meet again at the second BLC.
